Our 200 hundred year old farmhouse enjoys a quiet country
location and is surrounded by our working, mixed Farm on
the Downs, with the famous Ridgeway just ½ a mile
to the norh of the Farm. We are situated 3½ miles
to the south of the picturesque town of Wantage, the birthplace
of King Alfred The Great. The historic city of Oxford and
the Towns of Abingdon and Newbury are all within a 15 mile
radius of us - perfect for visiting the area.
We are ideally placed for some lovely countryside rides,
having easy off road access to a Bridleway and the Ridgeway.
Circular
rides
of varying distances are also accessible from the Farm,
four of these can be found in the BHS book:
The Ridgeway on Horseback. In this area there are many
Bridleways to ride, whether you decide to follow a set route
or take a map and do your own thing.
B&B accommodation is for up to 6 people in 1 double and
2 twin rooms. All rooms have Tea/Coffee making facilities
and Hairdryers. There is also a television in the sitting
room for Guests' use.
Grazing is also available for up to six horses, with stabling
for two (at present), and there is ample parking for horseboxes.
Evening meals and packed lunches are available by prior
arrangement.
Whether you are riding, walking or cycling, you will find
a warm welcome and a comfortable relaxing nights rest for
both yourself and your horse.
